I’ll also use it with a particularly rambunctious group of toddlers because it gets them up and moving. I use this one a lot when I do outreach storytimes because everyone knows the tune already and it’s not intimidating. We do this one every week at my family storytime and it’s so exciting when the toddlers start to sign! It’s also got a matching goodbye song. This song was made for an early literacy tip about phonological awareness. It’s a bit of a tongue twister and you definitely have to teach it to caregivers over the course of the storytime session, but once they learn it it’s gold. You can get creative with it too – can you pat your head, rub your tummy, touch your toes, etc. I love this song! I even sing it with toddlers if they are on the younger end. Well Hello Everybody, Can You Touch Your Nose? I encourage parents to use this song when their baby is waking up in the morning or from a nap. I also love adding the verse “Wake up Tummy” and we say “tickle, tickle, tickle” instead of wiggle. You can wake up babies’ eyes, ears, hair, nose, etc. I’ve broken these ones into age categories, but there are no hard and fast rules about when to use them.ĭo you have a favourite welcome or hello song for storytime? Let me know in the comments! Babies For even more hello and goodbye songs, check out our playlist. I’ve learned so many new tunes since I last wrote about my favourite storytime songs, so I wanted to put together a list of the ones I’ve been loving lately, especially at the beginning of storytime. After a long summer off, I’m back in the storytime saddle! My family storytime just started up and it’s got a great mix of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.

I also want to mention the "Unlock Suggestion" just picks a character randomly for the in-app purchase to prompt so I'd ignore this button. Another important and essential area is the "Unlock Button", you have to have this if you want the characters to be in-app purchases. The spread will impact how far out the character appear from each other, I find 100-125 is good for that and the other determines the text spacing of character names. Now we have some other buttons and areas to fill in though I want to first focus on "Spread" and "Vertical Label Spacing". The images also match the state of your chosen character to help clarify on that as well. Here you get a good judgment on the size so you may need to edit how big your character lock and unlock sizes are. You'll find the character selector item on the left hand side under "Controls" and then just drag the character selector onto the screen. I suggest placing your character selector at easy to reach areas, I place mine not only in my store but also in the front menu area as well. This part is actually fairly easy to do, but make sure you read ahead in this portion as some aspects act in certain ways. This is the menu portion of the guide so go to your branching menu area. The in-game video unlock if done through HeyZap so you'll need to check out their site for setup and then it just integrates, it's not something I use in my games at this point. In-app purchases are what I did aside from giving some free characters, this is simple and you just add in a store identifier which looks like "" Make sure the first two aspects match the release of the game and then just give your character a name, be sure to note this for a bit later in the guide. The next two are where the real money is, the first area creates an in-app purchase and the second is watch an ad video to unlock. The first is that this new character is free to players, the second is an in-game unlock with coin currency if your game has that. Now we get onto a very important aspect which is the monetization area that contains four options. Whether that's a delay after death, a bit of a flash or the other two effects. I would suggest keeping these the same as your primary character to keep everything similar, but do whatever you want there. The next areas under sound include if you want to select a shadow, an auto tilt and then the game over effects. I also included the animation editor in the image and that's clicked by selecting edit on any of your image animations, this is where you can scale your character if it's too big to fit into your game. We'll go over further details below the next image.Īfter the animation areas we also have the various sound attributes so you can fill those in easily with whatever you'd like. If nothing is put there than it just shows the default animation so no big deal, but this is also a good area to create smaller images to make your selector a bit tinier. Another key area to look at is the unlocked and locked animation area as this is how the character looks in your character selector list when they go to select the character or buy it. With Leafy I've opted for just a standard still photo for default animation, a move animation for when it's running and a defeat animation where Leafy gets a bit toasty. We now have multiple options just like your first character and just can have their own animation put in. The first thing to do is to give the character a name as that'll show up in the menu and then edit the collision shape just like the first character. I'll also mention that it's best to make all your character the same size in design so they fit into the game the same though there's an animation scaling area. Once dragging the character in select them from the character tab. Continue this if you want to create more and I know we're glossing over creation, but this guide is for creating multiple characters so I'm assuming you already know how to make one. Simply drop this new animation into the character tab and it'll automatically create a second entry. The very first thing you're going to do is make another character like you did your first one. While Leafy may not be the best looking of characters, I like the design and he fits well into the game I created. With that, we're going to go through the steps to make one of my little characters named Leafy. I decided to throw together a guide that should hopefully help people out, if you have any questions at the end of the guide feel free to leave a comment or send an email and I'll try to help you out. When I first went about creating additional characters for my Buildbox game I found that there really wasn't any sort of guide and that people were having difficulties with the system. If the TTL reaches 0, the router returns an ICMP message (type 11 – TTL-exceeded) to the sending host. Router must decrement the TTL by at least one). Recall that a router mustĭecrement the TTL in each received datagram by 1 (actually, RFC 791 says that the Traceroute operates by first sending one or more datagrams with the time-to-live (TTL) field in the IP header set to 1 it then sends a series of one or more datagrams towards the same destination with a TTL value of 2 it then sends a series of datagrams towards the same destination with a TTL value of 3 and so on. In order to generate a trace of IP datagrams for this lab, we’ll use the traceroute program to send datagrams of different sizes towards some destination, X. It is important that you carefully read the instructions such that you provide answers in the desired format(s).Ĭapturing packets from an execution of traceroute In this assignment, you will be asked to answer and/or discuss a number of questions. You’ll also want to read Section 4.4 in the book, and probably also have RFC 791 on hand as well, for a discussion of the IP protocol. We’ll investigate the various fields in the IP datagram, and study IP fragmentation in detail.īefore beginning this lab, you’ll probably want to review sections 1.4.3 in the course text book and section 3.4 of RFC 2151 to update yourself on the operation of the traceroute program. We’ll do so by analyzing a trace of IP datagrams sent and received by an execution of the traceroute program. In this lab, we’ll investigate the IP protocol, focusing on the IP datagram. Capturing packets from an execution of traceroute.( This lab manual is based on "Wireshark Lab: IP", version 2.0 By Niklas Carlsson and Anna Vapen, January 2012 I don't even know which camera I will use but I am imagining a Fuji XT-2 is in my future. But for $20 and this much functionality, I am very happy to have found it. Some have already built-in DAM features and some don’t. I don't yet know which app I will choose going forward. I have taken some time away from photography so most of what I have is out of date. There appear to be some but I am more interested in using it to catalog my images and to use external apps for the edits. I have not played with what tweaks I can make directly in this app yet. It allows me to link to three different external apps to edit with just as Photo Mechanic did. As I am a highly visually oriented user, this is a plus, to see what I have as fast as I can scroll. This app opens folders with lots of files quickly and it also scrolls very quickly. I am using it to organize my huge collection of JPEG files. For my purposes, this app does what I need and it works great. No, it is not as complete and as robust as Photo Mechanic, nor is it anywhere near as expensive. I was looking at renewing my license for Photo Mechanic and found this app mentioned by others. FastRawViewer is infinitely configurable in what it will display (depending on your monitor size and needs) so the user can improve its looks considerably with just a little effort. it's easy to go to remove all the ugly chrome though just by pressing tab just like in Photoshop. Aesthetically FastRawViewer (a cross-platform app) is not the prettiest app in Mac history. If you are a photographer, FastRawViewer is the best $15 (or $20) you will ever spend on software.Īs other users have pointed out, FastRawViewer is kept up to date. There's no faster workflow for dealing with an event and getting to high quality jpegs from original RAW. Then I take the keepers put them in another folder and process them in DxO Photo Lab or Iridient Developer. I use FastRawViewer to offload files from SD and CompactFlash Media, to throw away dud photos and rate the rest. Embedded previews or accompanying jpegs work great and even faster. You don't have to You also don't have to use RAW if you have a high resolution camera like the Nikon D850, Sony A7R II or A7R III or the Canon 5DS R. So, Garagesale is a money saving device for those of us who have a lot of stuff to sell on eBay.Īs a daily user of GarageSale my only complaint would be the templets aren’t as flashy as some others I have seen, and you can’t create your own patterns. One nice feature is the scheduling, if you do it thru eBay each item cost an extra 10 cents and that can add up. It also manages your auctions for you, such as feedback left, payment instructions, item shipped, item paid. It will also, if you want, auto delete your images from your iDisk. If you have a lot of items to post, using software like this is much easier than just posting thru eBay’s system because you can use pre-defined templates, customized styles and it can automatically upload and manage your images if you have a mobileme account. Not only do they get back to you right away but they send clear and friendly instructions on how to correct your problem, if you find a bug, they will be more than happy to fix it. Roughly translated, it says if the authorities come knocking, Amazon won't hesitate to turn you in. But there's a privacy-related clause in Amazon's Cloud Drive terms that deserves your attention.ĥ.2. I know, I know: The whole "big brother" thing is so 2006. Amazon Cloud Drive gives Amazon the right to inspect your music - and take action if it finds something shifty. Once that year is up, Amazon will drop you back down to 5GB unless you decide to pony up the cash and pay the going rate.ģ. It's a fine deal, but read the fine print: The 20GB of free storage lasts for only one year. Your renewal plan will be the one we choose as being closest to your current service plan."Īnd one final fee-related note: Amazon is offering a deal right now that gives you 20GB of Cloud Drive storage for free if you buy any MP3 album from its site. According to Amazon's Cloud Drive terms, "Service plan fees and features will change from time to time. Something else: The rate itself may evolve as well. Just make sure you're okay with that before taking the plunge. Your fee will likely increase over time, too, since you'll have to continually up your storage level to accommodate new music added into your collection. But it is an added expense, and one that'll recur indefinitely so long as you stick with the Cloud Drive service (hello, automated Amazon billing). Now, $50 a year isn't a bad rate by any stretch of the imagination. So if you have 50GB of music - well within the realm of normalcy - you'll be paying 50 bucks a year for your Cloud Drive storage. Amazon charges a dollar per gig per year for plans over that 5GB mark. Nowadays, though, many of us have digital music collections that far exceed that seemingly large amount. Amazon Cloud Drive is free - but only to a point.Īmazon's Cloud Drive service comes with 5GB of free storage. If you aren't on an unlimited plan, make sure to carefully think that through before switching over to any service that relies on the big, fluffy cloud in the sky.Ģ. There's also the notion of data - namely the fact that streaming loads of songs all day is gonna use up a lot of it. (The literal sound of silence, that is - not the Simon and Garfunkel ditty.) So if I'm relying on the cloud for my own personal music collection, too, I'll be stuck pumping iron to the sound of silence. Streaming songs from Pandora in that place is a lost cause. For whatever reason, amidst all the metal and sweat within those giant white walls, I can never get a lick of data on my device. That means anytime you're somewhere where data is shaky, you won't be able to play a single note of Toto (or whatever you have in your music collection - hey, I'm not here to judge). Remember, though, by its very nature, this kind of service needs a reliable data connection to work. The whole concept of cloud-based storage for your music seems great in theory - and most of the time, it'll probably make you wonder why you ever toted around all those gigs of files. Amazon Cloud Drive's cloud-based streaming approach is awesome.
